For your convenience, the Treasurer's Office accepts the following automated payments via Paymentus (our official online payment processor):

• Debit cards.
• Credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express.
• Digital payments: PayPal, Venmo, Apple Pay, Google Pay.

NOTE: Only one debit or credit card can be used per transaction.

You may make payments up to $2,000,000.00.

Please allow 1-3 business days for the payment to be posted to the Treasurer's database.

This payment processor charges service fees for online payments. There are no minimum fees.

• 2.25% for credit card and digital payments
• 1.80% for debit card payments

The Maricopa County Treasurer's Office does not receive any portion of this service fee.

Why is there a fee for card payments?

By law, the Maricopa County Treasurer is not permitted to charge any fee for processing tax payments. In addition, the Treasurer is not allowed to deduct banking fees from the property tax (levy) collected, which would result in apportioning a lesser amount to the taxing jurisdictions to fund their operations.

This means that, unlike private sector merchants, the Treasurer's Office cannot absorb banking fees into the cost of doing business.

To make an electronic payment without an additional fee, contact your financial institution and ask about e-check via bill pay, or consider using this website to make an e-check payment.
